yep, i graduated kean university a little less than a week ago with my bachelors degree in bullshit and procrastination…ok that was a joke but i graduated with a degree in criminal justice with a concentration in accounting. i plan on becoming a cop after college, or furthering my education by going to grad school, either way i dont plan on becoming a waste of life.
i’m proud of myself for what i have accomplished in 4 years, because i know a lot of people my age that couldn’t even pass their freshman year of college. in those 4 years i learned how mentally tough of a person i really am. 2 heartbreaks, almost failing out my sophomore year, having a best friend die, making friends, losing friends, moving into a frat house, and graduating are experiences that have shaped me into the person i am today.
i’m taking the whole post grad life thing seriously. it’s crazy because i figured that once i graduated i’d become “that guy” who just parties because he “graduated at the wrong time” yeah i graduated at the wrong time in the wrong economy but that’s not stopping me from looking for work, and staying motivated. i’ve even started making little changes in my life, like how i dress, walk, talk, act, hell i even stopped wearing my glasses and started wearing contacts. i go to the gym every morning and have been taking better care of myself. i guess you can say that my life has just begun.
